General information about the department
The department "Interior and landscape design" of the Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering was founded in 2002.
The department trains specialists in the following areas of education:
5150900 - Design (Design of architectural environment);
5А150901 - Design (Design of the architectural environment).
After its creation until 2004, the department was headed by Associate Professor B.A. Baymukhamedov, in 2004-2015. associate professor M.R. Borodin, in 2015-2016, Candidate of Arch., Associate Professor A.V. Vetlugin, today the head of the department is Associate Professor Z.E. Matniyazov.
Currently, the department employs 1 academician, 6 associate professors, 8 senior teachers and 5 assistants. The professors and teachers of the department are leading in the development and application of advanced pedagogical technologies, the introduction of information technologies, spiritual and educational work, as well as research.
The department is one of the leading departments in the country for the provision of modern textbooks and teaching aids. Currently, the teachers of the department conduct theoretical and practical research in the field of architectural design, as well as create new textbooks and teaching aids. Such textbooks and tutorials as "Design Basics", "Design Basics", "Architectural Graphics", "Landscape Design", "Interior Design", "Artistic Design", "Ornamental Gardening", "Ergonomics", "Computer Design", "Modeling and prototyping", "Design of presentations" created by professors and teachers of the department, are still published annually and are used as basic textbooks for students of specialized specialties "Design" and "Architecture"
The professors and teachers of the department prepared: two "Presidential" scholarship holders; 6 winners of "Subject Olympiads" and a large number of winners of international and national competitions. At the same time, teaching based on new pedagogical technologies has proven itself well.
Scientific research of the department is carried out in cooperation with a number of universities, design organizations and industrial enterprises. The obtained scientific and practical results and conclusions are discussed by professors and teachers of the department at scientific conferences and published in various prestigious foreign and domestic scientific journals.
