The Center for Information Technologies (hereinafter referred to as the Center) is a structural unit of the Institute and was established in pursuance of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 230 of 23.05.2001, the Order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 23 dated 25.0.2001. Organization of Information Technology and Distance Learning Centers in the educational institutions of the MSSA system ".
In its activities, the Center is guided by the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan; normative acts of higher ministries and departments; rules and regulations of labor regulations, work safety, electrical safety, fire safety; Charter of the Institute; Regulations on the Center; orders and orders of the Rector of the Institute.
The creation and support of the computer and information infrastructure of the institute, the introduction of the achievements of information technologies, and distance learning systems in the educational process can be attributed to the strategic directions of the Center's activities, predetermining its further tasks.
Upon completion of works on the construction and reconstruction of the buildings of the new institute, an information and communication infrastructure was created to meet the realities of today. Currently, the computer park of the Institute includes more than 200 modern computers located in 4 separate buildings managed by 4 servers located in specially equipped server rooms. All computers are integrated into the local network of the institute, for which a fiber-optic cable was laid across the territory. Through a local network, computers have access to the Internet with a flexible system of control and distribution of access.
The Institute is a participant in the National Education Network project and has access to the corporate network of the Higher Educational Institutions of the Republic.
Employees of the Center are engaged in full technical and methodological support of the educational and managerial process of the Institute with information and communication nature. With the participation of specialists of the Center, the activity of the information and resource center is automated. With the direct assistance of the Center, the educational resources prepared by the institute's teachers are placed on the educational portal ZiyoNET. The Institute's website was also developed by the staff of the Center.
Currently, the specialists of the Center are working to automate the process of the document circulation of the institute and to introduce distance learning technologies into the educational process.
